In today’s market, the benefits of porcelain tiles seem almost endless.
A strong, dense, hardwearing versatile product for inside and outside use, including external wall cladding.
This material can be as thin as 5-6mm, which is particularly good for over tiling existing walls, fantastic on walls that may have a hanging weight issue or just because they look wonderful.
20mm thick tiles are brilliant for outdoor use, they can be laid on a flat lawn area without the need to cement in and with the aid of the pedestal system you can lay above existing floors, hiding cables or pipes or on a flat roof for that extra patio area (subject to weight restrictions), or laid with adhesive in the traditional manner around the pool or garden patio.
With many ranges now having the same design for inside and outside you can have a seamless floor flowing from your lounge, kitchen, dining area through to your patio, apart from the anti-slip properties of the grip finish (outdoor tiles) the look and colour are the same.
The technology in producing Porcelain has moved forward at a fast pace, giving us so many choices of a man-made product that have the look and feel of natural stone, marble, travertine, slate and wood.
We can have today the random look of these natural products that have taken nature hundreds of years to develop, with the added bonus of being maintenance free.
